Alumni

All Cairn alumni are welcome to visit Masland Library during regular business hours. When visiting the library, please sign-in at the front desk and have a photo ID ready. If you need a copy card, the photo ID will be held at the front desk. For your convenience, Cairn provides an open wi-fi for guests throughout campus.

Print and Electronic Resources

Alumni can use all of the Library's resources, including licensed electronic materials, within the Library. Two copiers can be utilized to copy or email scanned documents using a copy card borrowed from the desk. A photo ID will need to be held at the front desk and any printouts paid in full. The cost of copies is $0.10 per page for b&w and $0.25 per page for color. Electronic documents can be printed, emailed or saved to a flash drive.

Please note, except for a select number of databases, licensing agreements prevent the Library from providing off-site access to users who are not current Cairn students, faculty or staff.

Computer Lab, Printers and Copiers

Alumni have access to the computer lab located on the Mezzannine level of the library. Use the username and password located on the visitor tag to login to a computer. If printing, ask for a card when checking-in at the front desk. A photo ID will need to be held at the front desk and any printouts paid in full. In addition to the two computer labs, a visitor's card can also be used for the two multi-function copiers located on the lower and mezzanine levels of the building.

ATLAS for Alum
Cairn University's Masland Library provides its graduates access to ATLAS for Alum, an online collection of major religion and theology journals selected by leading religion scholars and theologians. When complete, this eight-volume critical edition will dramatically expand access to material that has been restricted or inaccessible in private and institutional collections for almost fifty years.

Project MUSE - Premium Collection
Project MUSE offers nearly 250 quality journal titles from 40 scholarly publishers. Project MUSE covers the fields of literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies, economics, and many others.

University Digital Archives

The Cairn University Digital Repository, a service of the Masland Library, collects, preserves and distributes digital materials produced or maintained by the Cairn community. The items found here are often parts of larger collections, and are here arranged by subject or topic. As additional materials are converted from their original formats and added to the repository, the number and variety of collections and resources will grow.

Cairn Career Center

The Career Center at offers alumni career counseling, resume editing and joining and email subscription to find a new position. If you would like to advertise job opportunities for other Cairn graduates you can register with Career Explorer to advertise your available positions.
