    • Abstract:
The author reflects on the March 11, 2013 decision by Justice Milton A. Tingling of the New York State Supreme Court striking down the city's partial ban on sugary drinks larger than 16 fluid ounces. The debate surrounding whether the ban on giant-soda is a measure for combating obesity or a gross intrusion on personal liberty is noted. The ban is considered as about limiting corporate damage.
