    • Abstract:
The article reports that Asthma UK has urged general practioners (GPs) to ensure all children with asthma have action plans explaining how to manage their condition. The recommendation comes after figures from September 2009 showed a 58 percent increase in hospital admissions for asthma in children aged 16 and under in England compared with the monthly average. Asthma UK said the peak was probably caused by children forgetting to take preventer medicine on returning to school activities.
