The agricultural biotechnology companies are working on crops which would withstand nutrient and water deficient soils. The company aims to double its core crops such as soya bean by 2030. The company Pioneer Hi-Bred started a research project to develop maize hybrids which could produce same yield using less fertilizers and will give its resources such as molecular marker to other companies.
