The article reports about a medical study related to the presentation of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) after the neonatal period. The study further reveals the difficulties encountered in diagnosing CDH during childhood. Three children who were admitted to the hospital for different reasons were examined. During the study it was found that a radiograph combined with liver scintigraphy was a better diagnostic option for patients with right-sided CDH. It is stated that late-presenting CDH comprises of several clinical symptoms related to respiratory or gastrointestinal tract and carries the risk of life-threatening deterioration.
