    • Abstract:
The article presents information about a meeting of the European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS) in Athens, Greece, last month. John Cormack, a general practitioner (GP) with a special interest in epilepsy, said that software needed to be brought into line with recommendations that patients with epilepsy should not have their treatment switched. Speaking at the EFNS meeting, he said that GPs are aware that there is a problem with switching preparations, but their computer systems do not prompt them to make sure that they prescribe the same product as before.
