The article focuses on genetic research examining the Y chromosome for male Neandertals which may explain why humans didn't inherit Neandertal DNA from the Y chromosome, as DNA analyzed from a male Neanderthal which lived in El Sidrón, Spain 49,000 years ago has mutations in three immune genes which could result in immune responses from pregnant women and result in miscarriages.
