    • Abstract:
The article focuses on disparities in selected notifiable diseases among American Indian/Alaska Natives (AI/ANs) in the U.S. from the year 2007 to 2011. It was found that incidence rates of 14 infectious diseases were higher for AI/ANs than for whites. According to the authors, interventions are needed for reducing disparities in chlamydia, gonorrhea, West Nile virus, spotted fever rickettsiosis, and other such diseases among AI/ANs.
