    • Abstract:
The article addresses the needs of the older knowledge workers in the workplace with implications to the planning and design of office environments for a growing workplace demographic based on a case study of older workers in a large organization. Findings showed that interviewees are satisfied that their office spaces are accessible to them. However, they mentioned background noise as the most significant and consistent cause of distraction to them. With this, the research concludes that there is a space for collaboration and teamwork activities but no adequate environment for tasks that need concentration.
