    • Abstract:
The article discusses the study on the phosphenes, a shapes and colors that appear when the eyes are colored. According to physiologist Hermann von Helmholtz, a continuous phosphene appears at the opposite side of the visual field when a steady pressure is applied to a spot on the eye. On the other hand, one scientist claims that it was easy to create a phosphene on the nose side of his visual field with a light touch against his right eyelid near the temple.
