    • Abstract:
The article looks at the science behind pipe organs and the processes that control the steady oscillation of the sound that they produce. Analysis of the interaction between the jets of air blowing across the pipes' mouths and the column of air resonating inside is presented. A cross-section of the pipe and illustrations of the organ at the Sydney Opera House are shown.
