- Abstract:
The article examines the physics of the piano. By reviewing the evolution of the modern piano and its principal component, the physics of piano can best be understood. Modern piano inherited several of its characteristics from the clavichord. The sound of the piano originated entirely in the soundboard and not in the strings according to some early investigators.
