    • Abstract:
The article reports that United Nations envoy, Ibrahim Gambari, arrived Myanmar on September 29, 2007, calling the military junta for restraint. He said that he had come with a message from the United Nations Secretary General and the Security Council for the Myanmar government. His visit is said to be significant in view of the government's crackdown on pro-democracy protestors and Buddhist monks. Meanwhile, China has also urged Myanmar to resolve the crisis peacefully.
