    • Abstract:
The article examines the activities of Jewish converts from Christianity in Warsaw, Poland in the 19th century. Compared to the Jewish population size, the number of converts in 19th century Poland was not great despite the greater secularization, acculturation, and wealth of these communities. The said converts came from diverse social backgrounds. Similar to the Western pattern of conversion, the rate of conversion in Poland showed sensitivity to shifts in Jewish status, in popular attitudes toward Jews, and in the general political climate.
